Mental Health Library

The Warrior Queen’s Mental Health Repository

Careful attention to our mental and emotional health is especially critical while in pursuit of our goals and ambitions. This space is for sharing knowledge and resources on the pertinent topic of mental health and well-being, alongside general mental health awareness and self-help. Please note, this is not intended to substitute professional care (although I believe in some cases, it is necessary when professional care is insufficient); rather, self-education is a form of supplementary care.

This page is a centralized location for the resources that have and continue to support my personal growth and progression while dealing with my illness on my own. Below is a list of some of the noteworthy different types of resources that have personally helped me, some of which include self-help books related to my goals. I have learned that when I take the time to read and review some of the literature and watch videos of others talking about mental illness, it has given me a sense of relief as well as hope. Educating myself about my condition and mental health and well-being has become part of my routine in coping with the illness.

In no particular order, this list includes: books, websites, organizations, you tube videos, articles, blogs, etc. that have supported me in the process of getting a better state of mind, body, and soul. I provide links to articles and videos here for easy access.  Sometimes I watch these videos while painting or doing other relaxing activities to help reach a calm state while increasing my knowledge and understanding.

I hope these resources can be helpful to you as well. Ultimately, we must increase our awareness and this must be an individual and collective effort. This page is to help support the idea that with all the knowledge out there about mental health issues now, and the many mediums to access it, there is really no excuse to not at least try to learn about mental illnesses, health, and well-being, especially if we ourselves struggle with a mental illness or have loved ones that do.

Please feel free to share any of your knowledge and resources as well (in the comments section below). You may also submit your suggestions through the contact form located here.

Happy Reading and Viewing!
