A New Logo for A New Beginning

“You don’t have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.” – Zig Ziglar

Dear Fellow Warrior,

One thing I gifted myself for my milestone birthday this past summer was finally creating a logo for my “Chronicles of the Warrior KQueen” Blog! I was very excited about this.

You may have noticed the headline banner change as well. What do you think of it?

I understand the banner might seem a bit intense, but it truly reflects who I am and the journey I am on. As I continue to embrace this space I have created, I am committed to bringing my whole self—raw, authentic, and unapologetic.

This space is more than just a blog; it’s a testament to my evolution and my ongoing quest for wholeness. I’m here to explore, express, and empower, and I hope you will continue to be with me on this journey.

So, after 8.5 years of blogging in that space, I think I am happy to confirm that logo.

I have used it now on a few short pieces that I share on occasion from my Instagram account.

Fellow warrior, now that you have read my pieces there over the years, what do you think about this logo?

I have thought long and hard about whether I want to continue blogging on my Warrior KQueen Blog, how I can sustain it and monetize it, and truly embrace the personal brand, “Warrior KQueen,” especially as I have now entered my 40s, embracing it fully.

I have decided to officially continue to move forward with this creative space. I will address this more in my much-delayed “Reintroduction” post.

But in a nutshell, I know the initial impression it can potentially have, but the blog elevates my creative identity and ties critical themes of curing stigmas, intersectionality, mental health, self-empowerment, and social justice.

I have always been a creative writer, even before certain professional endeavors, and with much reflection and research, I believe this contributes to creating a compelling personal and professional story and offers unique branding, a holistic representation of my personal and professional strengths, aligning closely with my academic and professional endeavors, bridging the themes of empowerment, social inclusion, and advocacy.

I hope to put the logo on my YouTube channel alongside other future digital and print products in the making right now.

On the design: I took the Qi logo from my Substack Academic Newsletter, “The Qualitative Inquisition,” so I am happy it connects to that endeavor too, especially since my blogging has shared my PhD and academic journey as well.

I am considering also beginning another “atomic newsletter” (short 250-word monthly newsletter) on Substack or Convertkit to share highlights from longer pieces I write throughout the month on this blog to drive more traffic. It may not happen until the end of the year or next year on my 9th Anniversary of starting this blog. Let’s see!

The sword in the middle looks like my middle initial for Talat, and I added the E & K initials, as it is in the domain name too. It is also my mother’s name, so it adds a motherly effect with the wings embrace. I like to keep the cursive font because I’ve been praised for my cursive handwriting by many people I know.

The dots represent “connections” for my SNA expertise and my dot mandala artwork. The wings are displayed with the Sword like a “W,” for Warrior. The small globe was also in the “Qi” logo so I added that on top, and the “Q” for Queen at the tip of the Sword.

Let me know what you think!

It is the first time I felt excited about a logo I have been drafting/sketching for my website. I might shift some colors and fonts, right now it is dark purple and rose gold color theme.

I’d like to keep the quote from Atticus on the branding. It speaks so perfectly about the journey.

It’s amazing what a logo and branding can do for your work and your art, a visual representation of your values, mission, and vision. I hope beyond chronicling my journey, I can continue to produce some quality material or transform what I have already to make the topics I explore more relatable and approachable.

Thank you to all who had taken a moment of their life to read my blog www.warrioretkqueen.com over the years, and I hope you continue reading it in the future.

I had the feature article as my first introduction blog piece from 2016 for all the years this blog has been active. I will soon update the feature article with a new “Reintroduction” piece, finally!

I hope you will come back to this space to read it. You will always be welcome here!

In Solidarity and Peace,

Your sister,

Dr. Elsa
